TFTP Connection Info in CatTools

We recetly purchased and installed CaTTools. Initially when I started usng the application, I was able to view the status of connections in the TFTP Pane.

At some point I 'cleared' the conection history and from that ponit forward the window no longer displays connection information of any kind.

Just curious if anyone has ran into this issue and how do I get it working again?

Correct, the Device.Backup.Running Config activity performs a capture of the show running-config (or device equivalent) command. This is why you do not see anything in the TFTP pane.

The Device.Backup.TFTP activity is only supported on a limited set of devices (see the device matrix: http://www.kiwisyslog.com/wrapper/devices-supported/ )

Hi Ron,

The TFTP pane simply shows you TFTP transfers. Do you mean the 'Display' pane instead?

(See the first screen shot in the following online help page www.kiwisyslog.com/.../pan_overview.htm)

If so, then its simple to get the pane back on the screen. Just select 'Panes' from the 'Interface' menu item then click the 'Display' to add the pane back in the UI.

The TFTP Display Pane is visible… it just never shows any TFTP transfer activity when I’m running backups.

Which activity is it you are running for your backup?

Is it the Device.Backup.Running Config activity?

Yes, and now that you mention it, I see there's a specific activity called 'Device Backup TFTP' so that obviously makes use TFTP whereas the 'Device.Backup.Running' config activity is capturing output using show running-configuration command?
