TCP UDP ports required to connect the database

I am planning to place an additional poller in a different office which will have a firewall while connecting to the database server. Do anyone know all the TCP and UDP ports required by the poller to connect to the database. I tried checking the firewall logs but everytime i was getting different ports.

Current used ports :

UDP: 137,1807

TCP: 1434

SNMP (UDP Port 161)

Orion Syslog server - TCP Port 514 from your devices to Orion.
Orion Trap Receiver - UDP Port 162 from your devices to Orion.

Port 1433 for SQL

Thanks but i believe Poller do not require SNMP port to connect to its own database. SNMP is required for the devices to poll.

Same with SYSlog and Trap

As per my firewall logs i have got the hits on following ports

UDP: 137,1807
TCP: 445, 1433, 1434

I don't want that tomorrow i have to go back to my security team for a different port . so if there is a range of ports anyone is aware of than please let me know.

Any document on the same will be appreciable.

I would like to hear more "official" info about this, too. Maybe in form of installation instructions for fine tuning.

SQL server can be contacted through TCP/IP or named pipes. TCP/IP means one port, defaults to 1433, and is recommended by MS for security reasons. Named pipes use NetBios and SMB, which means troubles for firewall configuration.

I don't know which method is used by Orion, perhaps both. It could differ during setup (Configuration Wizard) and operation. It could be stateful or not, etc.
