Will APM in the future build on VoIP Monitor's useage of Cisco IP SLA features and do similar synthetic tests for TCP connect times, HTTP, DNS, FTP, DHCP etc ??
No and yes. I don't see usage of IP SLA in APMs future. On the other hand, I do see a steady progression of synthetic tests. We already have HTTP, but adding a DNS query, a SQL query, FTP, email, etc. is where we're headed.
