Group the nodes by group created in manage groups?

Hello everyone,

When i create a group in manage groups what is the use of the groups if i cant use it to group nodes. In manage node there is no option to group the nodes on the basis of groups created in manage groups, if i want to change the thresholds by bulk what should i do ?

Hi Faizan,

Sadly that is not what SolarWinds created Groups for. They were actually created as a way to get around the 1-to-1 relationship in Dependencies. Most often customers will use a custom property to create a dynamic query which populates the groups, and that same custom property can be used in the Manage Nodes screen. I would suggest you look to apply custom properties to your Nodes in order to select and make bulk changes.
