Okay stupid question... our engineers need to monitor the event log to see db timeout's and other application specific events. How do I configure solarwinds to alert based off an entry in the event log or is there another package I need.
Anyone with active maintenance can download the "Windows Event Log Forwarder" from the customer portal. Install this on the server you want to capture the event logs from and it will send it to the Orion server as syslogs.
