I think the availablity statistics section is great and provides good feedback. However, is there a way to include another statistic to the existing box for "Last Year" as an example?
You can't really edit a web resource for NPM but you could create a custom report that has the additional information you are looking for and add this into your views.

You can include whatever elements/components you wish into the availability calculations by creating a "Group" for all the different types of components you'd like the availability calculated upon.
