Transmit and recieve stats reversed for ethernet interfaces?

I'm monitoring several remote switches and generating monthly bandwidth reports. For each remote site, I'm getting statistics from a particular interface (ATM for older sites, Ethernet for newer ones). For the most part, the ATM interface results make sense, but the Ethernet interfaces seem to be the reverse of what's expected (i.e., I'm seeing transmit much greater than received, but I'm not sure that's really the case).

Does Orion reverse the stats for Ethernet interfaces, or could something be happening on the switches themselves (all Cisco)?

I think we resolved that issue. In our case, we had several sites that had a fairly large amount of outgoing traffic. When the networks at those sites were in active use, the incoming traffic to the site outweighed that outgoing traffic. During times when the networks were idle for long periods during the month (the sites in question are public school buildings), outbound traffic was greater than inbound, which was unexpected.

I know I'm four years late, however did you manage to get a solution to this?

We use multiple interfaces (for VLANs) on a Cisco gigabit router and Orion shows the transmit/receive in reverse.
