we are creating templates for windows MS cluster servers. we have two servers for failure cluster.
want to create template. could you please suggest on template ?

Default templates are available in SAM templates
Search cluster
SolarWinds recommends to apply the template to VIP
In our environment we had added all the disks from primary node then we Failover to secondary node and add all the disks from secondary node
So whenever there is Failover we get disk offline alert on primary node and disk online alert on secondary node and vice versa

When monitoring clustered resources I refer to them as “the holy trinity” of Nodes
- virtual IP
- direct IP of Node 1
- direct IP of Node 2
the VIP is usually added manually and functions as a dummy Node where you attach your SAM templates to.
so you add the Services/Application Templates to the VIP
you monitor your basic stuff directly on the Node IPs (disk space / Hardware health / whatever your Node needs to have monitored)
as for the MS Cluster stuff itself, I think there are built in templates in SAM if not:

How do you trigger for an offline disk? Would that simply be Unknown status?
Just curious how you do this.

few months back ago we create trigger condition for volume went offline state or unknown state. as per user requirement.
