a T1's line protocol
this is my Cisco 7200 router
this is what I want to monitor
Serial2/0/6:0 is up, line protocol is up
i see the serial interface go down, but some times the line protocol goes down.
easiest way would be to monitor the other end of the link.
and if you dont have control of the other end, if you only send a ping it will still give you the same result allowing you to see that data can pass.

I have control of both ends.
if i'm consoled into my core router, i'll see the line protocol go down but the line remains up.
