Alert trigger for apm

Just seeing if I am missing something here.

 

We have a APM that watches 4 diiferent exe's via SMTP.  I have set up a alert trigger to notify us if one of those exe's is not running.

My issue is if one goes down I get an an email for all 4. 3 up 1 down

 I have it set as

Trigger alert when all of the following apply

     Application name is equal to test apm

      Trigger Alert when any of the following apply

             Application status is equal to down.

 

Even tried it with adding another condition group with each service name in the apm but I still get the 4 emails.

 

What am I missing?

I think you need to change the "Type of Property to Monitor" from "APM-Monitor" to "APM-Application". You *will* also need to update your conditions to reflect these changes.



Once you switch over to "APM-Application", any single monitor within that application will trigger the alert but only once while the application is down. Is this what you're trying to do?
