Hi,

I have some questions on customization for APM.

 

1. In the 'All Applications' section where you can customize the grouping of the templates, is it possible to create a subgroup?  For example, I created a custom property where I use it to group certain servers together (Web, FTP, Database, SMTP).  When I select that, I'd like to be able to expand a group, see a list of servers and then have the option to expand the server to see any associated APM's with it. So something like:

- SMTP (group)
       -SMTP01 (server)
                  -SMTP Service check (APM)
                  -Queue Length check (APM)
       -SMTP02 (server)
                  -SMTP Service check (APM)
                  -Queue Length check (APM) 

2. Is it possible to add the APM details in a Node Detail page?  For instance, if I look at SMTP01's node detail page, I can see all the data like CPU usage, response time, memory used, etc.  I'd like to be able to see the statistical data from APM such as having the SMTP service check and queue length.

1. Unfortunately, I don't believe subgrouping is possible. At least, I don't see a way to accomplish this as you laid it out.
2. At this point, the only node-specific APM resource that can be added to the Node Details page is the list of applications assigned to that node. Of course, it'll display operational status as part of that list but I don't see any other node-specific resource that can be added. I'm sure the need for this on the node details can be argued both ways since you're only one click away from the node's APM details.
