Switch Port Labelling

I am monitoring ports on Nortel switches and from time to time the labels on the ports are changed using Nortel Device Manager for a change of use.

The problem I have is that the labels on the ports I am monitoring and which appear on the Node Details screen don't appear to update when a change is made on the port label.

I noticed this when I ran a report on the port, the report came back with the updated label but the Node Details screen and any Maps that have been drawn don't reflect the change, how do I get the port labels to update short of deleting and rediscovering the switch. I have tried a rediscover of the switch without deleting and this didn't make any difference.
