Application Component Detail Chart "Y Axis"

I just built a Performance Monitor Counter to measure Disk Write per second utilization and it is reading the data just find and started to graph the data as well but as of some time yesterday the chart is now a flat line and the Min/Max/Avg "blocks" are no longer showing up... thoughts?:

All good. I thought it may have been missed.

You can try editing the chart to only load the last 24 hours of data (Click Edit in the top right corner of the chart and modify the "Amount of historical data to load" field). If that works, you can set it back to Last 7 Days and it should work fine after tomorrow as that data from the 9th won't be included in the source. Eventually over time the data will be summarised and deleted from the database (default SAM retention: raw detailed data is kept for 7 days then summarised into hourly data, hourly data is kept for 30 days then summarised into daily data, daily data is kept for 90 days and then deleted).

Alternatively, delete those data points from the database or delete the monitor and re-assign it. I'm not sure why you got the 50 million+ data points though.

Someone else might have another solution but those are what I can think of off the top of my head.

What color is the Component Status LED for this metric? The chart simply shows the value over time, but the component status will tell you if it's connecting to the endpoint and collecting data.

Component status is green and it is gathering valid data... just wondering why the Min/Max light blue bars are not showing up like they were when I first created this and now everything is just the flat average line...

The candlesticks represent the minimum and maximum values for that time period. The line itself represents the average for that same time frame. The reason why no candlesticks appear in the chart is that the minimum, maximum, and average values for those time frames are all zero.

It also looks like you have some very large values distorting the graph scaling. The scale is up to around 50 million but the most recent statistics are averaging 38. If you changed the zoom level to ignore the first two candlesticks you should see the data you are after.

I understand your answer aLTeReGo but when I look I see this:

so I see that the Average data is 34.05 with the Min/Max being 0 to 186.. so my question is where is the light blue bar representing 0 to 186... or am I missing something?
