Blinking LED's
isbhill
I'm fairly new to SolarWinds but I'm loving it. My question is this. Is there anyway to make the LED graphic blink. I have a very dense and very busy map. I'm getting complaints from some users that sometimes it is hard to pick out a device when it changes colors. A blinking LED or graphic would be easier to notice.

Generally the Map page is good for visualizing, troubleshooting & drilling down into your network, but not so for alerting or alarms.
You could add the "NODES WITH PROBLEMS" view above or below the map, so that when anything goes down, it appears as a separate item on the page.
I've created a custom Nodes Down view with filters to show only nodes which are down or in warning(no unmanaged nodes) as well as the custom property - "comments".
When a node goes down, the tech responding to the trouble opens the node details page & updates the custom property - comments, with time & date & trouble ticket number.
So anyone viewing the down nodes sees the time, date, ticket number & initials of who is working on the outage.

have you located the files that are the pictures for these items??.. I guess you could replace them with flashing gif files of your choice and see what happens...
