Hello,
I recently upgraded to SAM 6 (but the functionality appears to be the same on the older APM version)
We use two servers for our mail system.
One server is for SMTP routing and the other is for POP3.
In the POP3 template there appears to be no place to specify different addresses for separate servers.
I either have to enter the address of my SMTP server or of my POP3 server.
Neither of these will work since the POP3 and SMTP are not on the same server.
When configuring a POP3 desktop client such as Mozilla Thunderbird these two server can be individually listed.
I opened a case with support but it appears this is a limitation of the POP3 experience monitor.
Note:
If I "cheat" the system and temporarily install SMTP on our POP3 server it seems to work.
There are a couple of problems with this "cheat".
My primary concern is that this doesn't represent the real world configuration.
Can anyone share with me how they are getting around this limitation in the POP3 user experience monitor?
Or maybe, I'm just too stupid to configure it properly.
Thank you,
Jay
