modifying component monitor properties

I know that if you modify the properties for an individual component monitor at the template level, the change is passed down to all applications using that component.

However, let's say that I create an application monitor and assign it to two nodes - call them "App on A" and "App on B". Can I then edit the properties of a component inside "App on A" without the same component being changed inside "App on B"?

If so, how do I do that?

APM should be working this way right now. That is, if you reconfigure a component for an application template that has already been assigned, it should not affect any other components of the same application template. Is it not working this way for you? Which version of APM are you running?

Thanks for the reply qle. I got to looking and realized that I was not changing the component property within the application, but at the individual component level OUTSIDE the application - which is not the same.

It certainly follows that if I change the port in the TCP port component monitor, that it will change that port in any template using the TCP port component.
