What Does Solarwinds Collect

I know this is a very general question and hard to answer, but management is asking for a rough number on the number of different components that our Solarwinds products collects.  We use SAM and poll via WMI and use VMAN.  If anyone can provide any documentation that would be great.

Same for any App templates, count the component monitors. All of the data is available in the UI to you. I don't think there is any simple way to present each property of what the tools are collecting, I feel that this is a manual endeavor you are asking for.

So for a domain controller, you could say its collecting up/down status, cpu load, disk space, memory usage, and about 30 WMI component monitors for AD if you're using a template.
