uninstalling a second "primary" poller

I am working with a client that has accidentally installed a second poller as a primary poller. If I am correct, that could only happen if they have installed another copy of the fully licensed version of Orion, right? They needed to have purchased the additional poller version of Orion. Am I correct about that?

Anyway, can I simply uninstall Orion SLX from the other server, or are there other steps I need to take to properly remove it? Would I be able to transfer the few nodes to the redal primary poller using the load balancer before I do the uninstall?

Additional information. I looked in the Engines table of the Orion database. I see that the two engines have a unique license key, and a different PackageName. The other "primary" poller has a package name of Orion NPM Polling Engine v9 SLX and it indicates that it has 13 days left in the evaluation. I suppose that indicates that someone loaded a trail version of Orion SLX on this other "primary" poller? However, under the Evaluation field it says "N" for both pollers.

Don't know if this information is relavent to the issue of removing the poller, but I'm just trying to piece together what happened.

You should uninstall the additional poller. Re-run the config wizard. You might need to delete the old engine ID manually from the DB.

Regarding urgency, I would recommend that you directly call Support for urgent questions. While we (SW) monitor every single post, it's not uncommon for several hours to go by before a given thread gets attention, so it's not ideal for 911 situations.

Thanks, Denny. Do you think I would be able to transfer the elements to the primary poller before I delete Orion?
