SAM, IBM and LSI Controller

Hi.

We have a lot of IBM servers in our NPM, and some Dell and HP. I have enabled Server Health on all servers but I don't get any Disk og Array/RAID information on them.

The reason for this I guess is that we are no longer using Adaptec and ServeRAID Manager on them. All new IBM servers are using LSI controllers with the software MegaRAID Storage Manager. They use the service MRMonitor.

There are no plugin to IBM Systems Director 6.x.

Are there any plans to implement RAID and Disk monitoring using MegaRAID?

We do hope to include support for IBM's MegaRAID controllers. Unfortunately when we asked the community for MIB walks from their Dell, HP, and IBM servers back in November none of the MIB walks provided included IBM MegaRAID controllers. Since releasing SAM 5.0 a couple of weeks ago we've already received a few requests from customers. We're currently tracking these requests under FB111105.

If you're willing to supply MIB walks from your IBM Servers with LSI controllers running the MegaRAID software using this tool it would help significantly with our research and investigation of this feature.

Hi.

We now have the MIBWalk for an IBM Server running MegaRAID. Attached is the SNMPWalk file.

The server is running is running Windows 2008 R2.

Applications:

MegaRAID Storage Manager v8.16.0300
IBM Systems Director Common Agent 6.2.1
IBM Systems Director Platform Agent 6.2.1

I've looked over the MIB but I can't find any storage related information. I can see that you have the MegaRAID software installed, and I can see information in the IBM events MIB 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.159.3 that reference your storage controller but the MegaRAID MIB 1.3.6.1.4.1.3582 is missing completely from this server. Are there other servers in your environment you could perform a MIB walk on that might have this information?

We found another server with this installed. Here it looks like the MIBS you need are present.
