We've just finished a roll out of approx 900 access points throughout our estate using Aruba technologies, I've had Orion NPM monitoring the WiFI controller for a few years (project has had a rather long gestation period) and now would like to use the alerting functionality to alert when an AP goes down.
The one snag I seem to have hit is that Orion is reporting APs that no longer exist on the controller as being down, for example an 5300_Test AP is reported as being down but a show ap database long | include 5300 on the M3 controller does not find the AP in the controller's database. Does anyone know why Orion would still be monitoring a thin AP that isnt in the controller's database anymore?
Also, can the alert report the APs serial number as well?
