Hi,
I've just installed IPAM and I've imported all my old spreadsheets detailing which subnets are which, which IP addresses live in each subnet for the static hosts etc and everything has gone in correctly.
I've organised it nicely into supernets as the documentation describes.
However, I'm finding that when an IP address is discovered, or if it has been added manually, IPAM does not detect that the IP address is in fact used by a device that is already registered in NPM.
For example, there's a device on our network that is 10.2.1.1/24, this is infact the eth0 interface of our firewall that is also being monitored by NPM.
Can IPAM not detect this? Surely I should be able to click on the IP address and it tell me that it's something to do with the device that's in NPM?
Have I done something wrong is this expected behaviour of IPAM?
