I have a node that's grayed out and listed as unknown. I started this morning using an WMI agent, and deployed the software agent to the machine. That didn't help. I then changed it from SNMP to ICMP, and that didn't change it.
This specific node runs 3 windows services that I want to monitor. I've created an application monitor and found the services. By all accounts, this should be working. I can poll the nodes, and see them in service control manager listed as having an assigned application.
I'm really beating my head against the wall trying to figure out why this node and processes/services are listed as unknown. These 3 services are really essential to our business and I was liking what I read in the documents about being able to monitor and restart them if they go down.
