How do I build a report w/Report Writer using Statistical Data from WMI Performance Counter?

I'm trying to get a "24 Hour" report made on Active Client Count for Exchange users by hour. I have the WMI monitor working and see data in the Statistical Data field being updated, but can't find any way to make this report with any timestamps for that particular WMI Component containing "Statistical Data".

Can anyone offer some advice to get me started here?

Solarwinds support got back to me and like we thought they do not collect statistical data for this.

Here is their reply below

"Update for Case #78471 - "Need to create a custom report to capture statistical data gathered from a WMI counter monitor"

At this time it will not be possible. Their is a feature request in on this already.

I have added your case to the feature request on the question. The case will remain open and you will be notified when its update. Their is no release date for this nore has it been agreed on as of yet.

I am trying to the same thing except for RPCRequests. I have the monitoring working and it is getting the data, and showing up on the web interface, but I cannot find any field to add in the report writer to add the statistcal data field.

I opened a case with Solarwinds, so I will post back if that gets anywhere.

Thanks. Just found that. I guess the problem is that it their is no statistical data collected for it?

I am trying to find the average RPCRequests over some time period.

that's the point of my problem...

there appears to not be any collected data on STATISTICAL DATA.

if i query it, all i get is the immediate value of the counter.

one more thing on this topic. and thanks for your help...

i guess that means if i want to baseline MY application's response time then it's out of the question - is that correct?

if yes - then what's the other purpose of having Response Time in APM?

Actually they do store historical data for response time. If you open the Orion Report writer, New, choose APM: Historical - Response Time of Components. Make sure you are in design mode. Then you can choose the time frame.
