Application Performance Monitor (Unix, Linux, Soliars)

I posted under Network Performance Monitor trying to find out information concerning monitoring ESX servers using Orion. Reading the information provided, I see that this can be done by using Application Performance Monotor Module. My next question is can you use Application Performance Monitor to monitor Unix, Linux, and Soliars systems.
