External web user experience monitor?

I want to set up a web user experience monitor from the perspective of a node outside of my network. I know that I can configure a web UX monitor on my Orion APM server, but is there any way to construct one that measures the UX from another node inside or outside my network?

We can't do this today, but we expect to be able to do it once Orion gets remote pollers, but that's probably a year away or so. But you can use Cisco's IP SLA technology to do exactly this? Are you familiar with IP SLA?
