In our environment, the default Site tester within AppInsight is not helpful. Over half of our sites are web services that do not have a default page. While we could ask DEV to go back and ADD default pages to all web services, they would just look at me and wonder why such a thing would be necessary. And then I have to explain that it's because our monitoring software offers absolutely NO WAY TO CUSTOMIZE how the site test works on an individual site basis. I can't even disable the blasted thing... I'd have to go into every IIS server in Orion and then unmanage each and every single site that is affected... MANUALLY. We have 100s of servers that this affects.
Has anyone found a way to just TURN OFF the site monitor?
