SSL Certificate Expiration Date Error: Connection closed. Transport failed! Closing the connection... Exception message: Last available ssl protocol failed

I am getting this error on the SSL Certificate Expiration Date Monitor: Transport failed! Closing the connection... Exception message: Last available ssl protocol failed

Has anyone seen this before? i can see the cert on the server and i have tried moving the node to a different polling engine, but no luck.

I am on SAM 2019.4 (latest version)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried this template? If so, are you running into the same issue? Certificate Monitor

This template works, however it is not returning the correct number of days until the SSL Cert expires. I have the SSL Certificate Expiration Date template applied to over a hundred other nodes, but i'm only getting this error on 2 of them. I have case 00444914 open with support, but have not had much communication at all.

Thanks for sending the case number over. You may have a bit of a delay during Christmas, but I'm very interested in the output of your case, to determine whether we have a bug to be handled on the product side.

Replying to follow this thread. I have the same issue with a SharePoint server. The certificate on that server doesn't expire until 2021 but this component monitor is failing with the same error: "Connection closed. Transport failed! Closing the connection... Exception message: Last available ssl protocol failed."

If you get any idea why this is happening please post! Thanks!

No, it's not a critical issue for me. I'm just starting to work on configuring monitors and alerts for our SSL certificates and have the issue so I did a quick search for it. And here I am.

Hi,

I am also having the same issue on my solarwinds SAM. I have SAM 6.7 version . Certificate was already expired and removed from the server, still its showing the critical and throwing error rather than checking the new certificate dates.
