I've been having a lot of problems keeping the size of the UDT_BusinessLayerPlugin_tracelog.svclog under control. First, it seems to automatically put itself in C:\Temp, and ignores the 'TEMP' environment variable. My NPM server has enough space on C:, but not when this file grows to 7-8GB in size. I have to stop all services, delete it, then re-start the services.
So, I followed this advice here: SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: How to stop the UDT log file, and made the change to the SolarWinds.UDT.BusinessLayer.dll.config file. Didn't work. I double checked what I'd done, but it still doesn't work. The file is still generated, and it just grows and grows. This fix DID work for the Toolset_BusinessLayerPlugin_tracelog.svclog though. That file is still created, but stay's at zero bytes.
Is there another fix for this? It's a real pain having to stop/start services just to clear a log file. The least it could do is honour where TEMP is set!
