duplicate emails from alert engine

Question

Hi people!  wondering if anyone has come across this?  Keep receiving 3 emails each from basic alerts every time a node goes up or down.  Currently using Orion 8.5.1 with SP1 patches applied.  Tried deleting and creating the alert again but the triple email annoyance remains.  Anyone?  :>

OK, I see where I am missing it. My alerts are Advanced Alerts. I did however drill down in the database and found that it reported it only sent one message. I just got off of a GoToMeeting with one of the techs at Solarwinds and we determined my problem was with importing alerts for an older 8.5 into 9.1, which normally isn't an issue but for some reason cause multiple emails to send. Rebuilding the alerts from scratch in 9.1 will be a pain but it seams that has fixed my problem.

Sorry- I was off- The box actually reads "Send Alert any time Status changes" - This may help, although you stated this just started only after upgrading so there may be something else going on here.

One thing you might also try is to

Click Start -> Programs -> Solarwinds Orion -> Database Utilities -> Database Manager.

Drill into your SQL server and Orion database to view the tables. Right click on the AlertLog table and select Query Table. Hit refresh on the next screen.
 
Here you have a list of alerts that were triggered and actions that were taken. What is logged for the time you received these emails?

Do you mean the Trigger Condition or Trigger Actions tab? I can't seem to find the box your talking about.
