Setting up effective Exchange 2010 Monitors/Alerts

I am working with my Exchange Admin to get proper monitoring of our new 2010 exchange environment. If anyone can provide me some samples of alerts, or a direction on what you focused on? I am new to APM and I am having a tough time getting a single alert that can alert us when any of the components go into a down, warning, or ciritcal status.

There are pre-made Exchange 2010 monitor templates you can apply to your server, and several templates on Thwack. You can find the templates by clicking settings in the upper right corner of the browser, then go to SAM Settings then Manage Templates. You'll see a huge amount of pre-defined templates at your disposal.

You can go into Advanced Alert Manager and create a trigger condition when all of the following apply

Node Status is equal to Down

Node Name is equal to Network Nodes -> Node Details -> Node Name, IP address, etc.

Go through the tabs to set up the reset conditions, alert suppression, and trigger/rest actions.
