Hello,
do you set your credentials for template itself or just in script? Provided error tells that SSH client doesn't receive credentials from APM. Do you have correct credentials selected in "Credentials" dropdown for your Linux Script Monitor? Can you post screenshot of your monitor settings?

From the APM summary page i select Add Node, When i get to the add application monitors section i select linux/unix. There is an add credentials spot and i enter in our root account. When i hit test i receive the

Try not to add applications during "Add Node" wizard. Just add node without applications. Then go to "Settings->APM Settings" and there either create a new application template and assign it to your node, or go to "Manage Templates" section and assign existing Linux template. Does it work this way or do you still get the same error?
