After installing Orion 9.1, I'm unable to load the Orion Web Console. I receive a constant "service unavailable" error. Not an IIS person here...any ideas of where to start?
Thanks,
Lee
Start with the Windows Event Log and the IIS Management app. Does IIS Mgmt show the website as running? Is the application pool started? Look in the Application event log and see if there are any errors about IIS or ASP.NET.
My apologies, what is the IIS Management app? Is this an mmc or something? How do I use it, and how would I tell if the app pool is started?
Ok, opened the management mmc, found the IIS component. The Default App Pool was not started, so I started it. I looked at the websites component, and validated that the Solarwinds NetPerfMon site is running. Subsequent attempt to launch the web console still fails with "service unavailable." There are no relevant errors in the system or app logs. Any other ideas?
Thanks, Lee
Ok, found an issue which I'm working on. After trying to launch the web tool, found Event ID 1002 on the W3SVC stating that the "Application pool 'Default App Pool' is being automatically disabled due to a series of failures in the processes serving that application pool. I'll go back to microsoft and start checking.
