Creating a template from a monitor...

Hi everyone,

I have been using the "Find Processes, Services and Performance Counters" and when I get to the end, at this step:

What would you like to add this component monitor to?

This component monitor will be added to your selection below: XXXXXXXXXX

New Application Monitor Template
Existing Application Monitor Template
New Application Monitor
Existing Application Monitor

I was selecting option 3 - New Application Monitor...I have since discovered that I needed to make templates. Is there an easy way to go about this, now that I have about 30 of these done? Or do I need to start again?

Unfortunately once these have been created as monitors there's no method to convert them into application templates.

There is one way how to simplify transformation to templates: Go To APM Settings -> Manage Assigned Component Monitors.

On this page, group by 'Assigned Application Monitor', then select all items from the right panel and click 'Create New Template'.
