Component monitor licenses

We currently have 300 licenses for SAM which are all used up. We have a quote for additional licenses which is one week away from being approved and we are in need of licenses right away. We were thinking of deleting 100 component monitors that are currently configured to reclaim the licenses. The problem with that is that we would need to re-add all of thoses monitors once we get the new licenses and that's just not going to go over well. The question is, is there any way of 'deactivating' those component monitors to reclaim the licenses without actually having to delete their configuration.

Not really. I think your best recourse is to ask your sales rep for an evaluation license key. which you'll apply to your production environment. This should allow you to add an unlimited number of component monitors for a limited time. Once the license expires only the first 300 component monitors will continue to poll. If you upgrade your evaluation license at anytime to say, the AL1100, the first 1100 monitors will continue to poll.
