Seems on 5/25/09 was the last time NPM logged traps. Can someone give me an idea where to look at why/how they stopped?
Any chance you can upgrade to SP3, we have fixed some issues with traps since SP1, see here for SP3
Can you provide more data. Is the Trap Service running? Has anything changed in your environment like a new ACL that would block traps to the Orion server?
Yes, the service is still running. I don't know of any changes made that would affect this. I'll look into that more. Any way to tell, without having to wait on others to reply (not on Thwack, here at work), if that is the case?
You can drop wireshark on the Orion box and get a packet capture and see if SNMP traps are coming into the box or not.
Ok...Verified traps are being sent to Orion. They even show in the Traps Summary view set-up on the NPM webpage. But when I click the Traps tab at the top, it shows nothing. Where else should I look?
Thanks,
Dave
