Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
IP Reporting Functionality

I have a quick question. I was hoping that Solarwinds Orion would have the ability to give me an idea as to which hosts were using the most bandwidth on a network segment and which protocols were being used the most. This way, I could click on a host and see a summary report on its network activity.
ex]
Protocol X used up the most bandwidth
Host A was the one who used the most bandwidth
Host B used protocol X the most.
So on. Does anyone know if this exists in the Orion Network Monitor?
Thanks!

That's exactly what NetQos does for you.
It's an appliance which runs it's own database, collecting netflow stats from various routers on your network. The Orion Web Gui is then setup to send queries to the NetQos database according to the host you have selected in Orion, just as you have suggested.
We will be doing an eval on this product(both SuperAgent & Reporter/Analyzer) in about a months time. I'll keep you informed as to features and benefits, etc. So far I have just had the sales presentation, so that's about all I can give you right now.

That kind of reporting is best done with RMON or NetFlow, neither of which are supported in Orion.
