what should be in the CURRENT VALUE column?

in this screenshot of Application Alerts, i never see a VALUE in this column, it would be nice if i saw the current CPU or Memory utilization value which triggered the alert.

is that what i should be seeing or am i doing something wrong or is this something else entirely? thanks.

Same here... Did you fix this in the meantime?

We have an Advanced Alert that is fired when disk space is above nn%. I know Basic Alerts can do that as well, but with Basic Alerts we have to select for what volumes the Alert should be triggered, wheras Advanced Alerts are valid for all nodes/volumes in the database. The advantage of using Basic Alerts is that they DO mention the current value, where the Advanced Alert does NOT.

So, I hope you have fixed this... Can you (or anyone) help me out here?

I have been told that the downside to using Baisc Alerts is that it's specific to the poller. If you have multiple pollers you probably want to just ignore the Baisc Alerts and use Advanced Alerts.

As far as the original question by the OP, I agree, I would like to better understand what the Current Value column is for and why it never seems to have information in it.

Well, it looks like the Current Value is only used for Basic Alerts. I found this thread where this is noted by SW staff...
