NPM auto-login with NOCview

Hi all,

I'm trying to get some NOC view screens up with have a browser auto-login to Orion NPM with NOC view enabled.

This is what I have so far:

I use the following UR: to auto-login:Network Performance Monitor

192.168.1.2:8787/.../Login.aspx

When it logs in, I see the following:

192.168.1.2:8787/.../SummaryView.aspx

What I NEED it to go to is:

192.168.1.2:8787/.../SummaryView.aspx

In Settings, Manager users, I can select a single NOC page from a group (I have several tabs I have it auto-rotate), but it will not go into NOCView. I want it to go into NOCView, and also in kiosk mode.

I'm currently using an Airtame device, but I just setup a Raspberry Pi 3 and hoping to leverage this for the cost. Booting into Raspbian, but could use Windows 10 IoT if possible or other.

Any thoughts, suggestions, comments?

Bumping this thread as I have the same issue/requirement and have come across the same limitation.

It appears that the views selectable in the Account Settings page for "Home Page View" and "Default Summary View" DO NOT include NOC views.

They do include the individual "tab" page views that comprise a view with multiple tabs (and if converted to NOC view) but selecting any of these causes the logging on users display to show the static (non NOC) view of that "tab". There is no option in the dropdowns for each selection for the specific NOC view version (labelled as such or otherwise).

How do we set the 2 options to a NOC view?

Required as we are setting up Service Desk monitors where browser auto-starts when machine started and Machine Account in Solarwinds setup to auto-login with the required NOC view - i.e. no user intervenion required (or wanted).

I believe I once got around this by doing an IIS redirect to the NOC view page.

The easiest way i have found to do this is:

1. Enable Automatic Login for the Orion Website

2. Create a windows user which will be used to log in to Orion on the NOC display

3. Create a new shortcut to your favorite browser and pass it the URL of the NOC scree such as:

iexplore http://orion.lab/Orion/SummaryView.aspx?ViewID=226&isNOCView=true

This shortcut can be added startup items so the screens always come back after the user logs in, you could even consider enabling auto login to windows to for this user finish it off nicely.

On our win7 kiosk dashboard devices were also setup with a scheduled task to run iexlore refresh process with a hard URL to the NOC view specified. Its been a while but we were able to do this with kiosks and various GPO trickery.
