Monitor application on specific interface

Is there a way of monitoring an application on a specific IP address but all as the same node?

For example, if we have one application bound to 1 IP address/interface and another application bound to a second IP address/interface and SNMP only listening on a 3rd internal IP address/interface.

As far as I am aware this is not currently possible.

You will need to add External nodes for the additional non-SNMP IP's. You can then assign your applications to those nodes. I realize this isn't an optimal solution but it's the best I have to offer.

It somewhat depends on what about the application you are trying to monitor. If your requirements are as simple as determining if the application is still responding on a given ip address and port you can set up a custom script monitor on a different host that tries to hit the application server. Could be as simple as a telnet test to a defined ip and port.

It is kind of quick and dirty, and does not give you any application performance data, but it would give you data on uptime and response time from the user/customer perspective.
