Appinsight for Exchange monitored using Agent

I have a question, when we monitor appinsight for exchange on a server where the agent is installed, by default are all the monitors from appinsight monitored through the agent? or are there any component that is monitored from the polling engine? For example I can see that some URLs are used to monitor using WinRM some metrics, and I wonder whether that is monitoring from the polling engine, or is the agent who can also trigger those actions.

I've check this link:

but it is not particulary clear with appinsight applications.

It would be great if someone has tested this in the past and knows how it works

There is a setting in the application monitor, expand Advanced section (just under polling timeout). In there can you can change the "Preferred Polling Method" to Agent or Agentless.

Though on this specific monitor, I have never tried agentless, it should work.

I was aware of that option, but my question is related to, when we choose agent preferred, are all the components in Appinsight monitored by the agent? Or are there still a few monitors (such as the ones using WinRM) that are monitored from the polling engine?

It "appears" that everything runs on the agent. I am basing that guess on the fact that all of the logs are on the agent system and not on the polling engine.

By logs I mean that I turned on the SAM debug logging for it and looked under "\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Logs\APM\ApplicationLogs\App####" on both the agent and the poller.
