Log Handling for PCI Compliancy

I know that Orion is able to handle System logs via the Syslog facility in the NPM software. I am curious if Orion (or any of the SolarWinds products) are capable of handling other types of logs such as web logs, sql logs, etc.

We are working on getting thigns in place for PCI compliancy and need to manage logs beyond just the system logs. I would prefer to do as much of this as possible within the SolarWinds software. Section 10 of the PCI Data Security Standard outlines details regarding loggging requirements which suggests more than just system logs.

Is Orion or any of the SolarWinds products capable of handling logs beyond system logs or will I need to use another application such as Splunk to manage this?

We have a couple different things depending on what your requirements are. You mentioned Syslog already and we have the Windows Event Log Forwarder which can forward events logs to syslog and that can be downloaded from the additional components sections of the customer portal. Also you can look at our Kiwi Log Viewer product as well here

I have taken a look at the Kiwi stuff that you guys now have available. The problem is that as best I can tell they only handle system logs and SNMP Traps. I need to have something that can handle other logs such as SQL logs and web logs as well as system logs.

I don't actually know of many applications out there that do this type of thing but was hoping that some other folks here could suggest what they are doing to solve this problem. If there is a way to get those logs into the SolarWinds software I would really like to know about it.
