Migrating From Orion NPM8 To Orion NPM 9

i had migrate Orion V7 to V8 and it goes ok but when i migrate it to v9 i had the following error: "that software license key is for a different computer/software package combination"

Hi Mohamed,

You should open a ticket with the customer service to ensure you can correctly license your Orion NPM.

To Open a Ticket: http://www.solarwinds.com/support/ticket

In the form, select Customer Service.

one more question, i had migrate from orion 7 to orion 8 with the same license and there was no problem in that

No you do not need to deactivate the license, however this is a good practice to not keep old licenses on your server so that for future upgrades, you might avoid getting error messages like " Old Product vXYZ is still installed please uninstall it before to upgrade".

So you want to say that i have to uninstall orion version 8 first and then install orion 9?

and if that so , the problem is that iam migrating on the same server?
