Migration of Alerts from V6 to V7
aittahke
As we have recently migrated our Orion server to version 7,please is there somebody knows what is the way to export / transfert the alerts from version 6 to new version?
For your info the alerts I have configured into version 6 are still in the DB.

Have you also moved the polling engine to a new server?
If so, you will have to run the following query in the database manager:
Update Alerts
Set EngineID=y
Where EngineID=x
This means if your old server was polling engine 1(x) and the new server is polling
engine 2(y) you tell the software to base the alerts on the new server's polling engine.
You can see what polling engine # you using by looking in the database.
For production affecting issues like this, you are better off calling the Solarwinds Support line,
rather than relying on this forum.
