Creating a view for specific nodes

I have been trying to make a view that will show only a small subset of servers for a quick overview for SLA. I am not finding what I need for this, it's all or nothing. Is there a way to list a specific group of nodes, and show specific charts for them? I need a quick overview page for a small selection of servers.

Note the view limitation option visible at 2:29 in the video. If you've created groups, you can limit a summary page to a group or group of groups.

Your question isn't related to VNQM module I assume, since it's posted in NPM. Please advise if it's more of a VNQM question.

Go to Admin, Views

Make a copy of the Top 10 View

Take this copy and add your small group of servers to it via filtering.

Add other widgets as desired or modify to include more objects.

Do you have custom properties or groups that can be leveraged for this? Something unique to the desired nodes?

Yes, I just built a group for a bunch of servers, and will create a few more, these groups I need a simple view for. It is for upper echelon TMI people. IOW, TMI is not a good thing here, have to follow KISS. Whats the uptime for this group, that group, etc. Starting to get the specifics of what they need together and making headway, just need to figure out how to make it into one interface.

Keep in mind that groups can be nested and can have dynamic membership (for example, by custom property).

Think that this is what you're looking for:

Step 1. Navigate to your desired page and 'Customize Page'

Step 2. Add 'Custom Object Resource' to your desired column and save your changes.

Step 3. Select 'Configure this resource'

Step 4. Set the drop down menu to 'Nodes'

Step 5. Select the nodes you want by using 'Select Object'

Step 6. Use the 'Select a chart' drop down to show the data you want.

You can customize the data you want to share from here, there are a variety of combinations you can define to only show what you want. You can add as many of these resources as you want to the same page, I would create a new summary page for your users and restrict access based on that. If this isn't granular enough you can move to using the report writer, or defining custom graphs from the website. Also, I prefer to define nodes vs groups under the 'custom object resource', the options under groups seems limited to me.
