I am trying to upgrade from 10.0 to 10.1 We install all applications on another partition and keep the C: drive as the system partition.
The upgrade does not seem to allow you to install to any other partition other than c:
The advice I have been given is completely remove NPM and reinstall this will then give the option of installing to another drive.
If this is the case it is a pretty major oversight.
I am running the following
| Orion |
| Module Name: | Orion Core |
| Version: | 2010.1.0 |
| Service Pack: | 1 |
| | |
| APM |
| Module Name: | Application Performance Monitor |
| Version: | 3.5 |
| Service Pack: | None |
| | |
| NCM |
| Module Name: | Orion Network Configuration Manager |
| Version: | 6.0 |
| Service Pack: | None |
| | |
| NPM |
| Module Name: | Network Performance Monitor |
| Version: | 10.0.0 |
| Service Pack: | 1 |
I have loads of customised maps, alerts scripts etc. This is also a live service and cannot be down for long.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for what folders I need to backup to restore the customisations after uninstalling and reinstalling the application and do I need to uninstall and reinstall all the modules as well?
The database is on a seperate SQL server so I assume I just need to reconnect to this an all my historical data can be pulled back along with nodes and CPE changes
Regards
