Добрый день! Хотел бы уточнить, имеется ли в SAM server возможность настроить мониторинг оборудования, которое находиться в отдельном сегменте сети, который в общий сегмент не анонсируется? Заранее спасибо!
From what google translate tells me, in order to monitor Elements that are in a same subnet-range on a different Network, you can deploy another polling engine that is in the other network segment and you can then monitor Nodes with the same IP-Address on different Polling Engines.
Cheers,
Holger
I have two local computer networks with different IP addresses. IP address of the monitoring server 10.93.72.78 mask 255.255.255.0. The local computer network, in which the equipment is located in the local computer network 10.21.82 ... both computers are on the same switch. How can I write a route without loss of safety so that I can monitor the equipment in an isolated local area network
OK, so Google-Translate did not do a good job.
Solarwinds itself does not do any routing/switching, it relies on the operating-system underneath it, to have the network properly configured for the server.
It also relies on a properly configured network (switches/routers/...). Solarwinds can't do any networking magic to make routes appear/disappear.
If it is OK with security concerns, I'd set up an additional IP address on the orion-server within your 10.21.81.0 network, since it is using the same switch you should be able to get the other devices.
If not you need to run the traffic through your router/firewall. Be sure to monitor this device as well. You can set up dependencies to "see" that the devices behind the firewall are "unknown" in case of the event that your firewall is having an outage.
hope that helps
