Does Solarwinds monitor video calls? Is there a way to monitor an active call to see if the quality is dropping?
Solarwinds does have the ability to monitor video calls. Here are some links that may help you identify your options:
If all you have is NPM, you can still get information from the switch port that connects to the video device. Basic information about errors and bandwidth utilization, and also information about uplinks from that location through other switches and routers in your environment. NPM's QoE may be a helpful solution here, too, depending your environment.
If you have NTA, you can find still more information about conversations and flow, sources and destinations.
I suspect VNQM may be the module that can provide the most helpful information. IT ties into the whole Orion suite of products.
I do have VNQM. I'm going to look at the guided tour and see if there is anythig i can do.
None of these links have video in the links.
Yeah everything broke when they moved thwack to a new platform. Its a shame, tons of knowledge lost.
No idea whether solarwinds monitors video calls or no. However, if you are looking for video calling or video conferencing applications, you may have a look at tools like Zoom, R-HUB HD video conferencing servers, Webex etc. These are easy to use and work well.
