VMWare virtual machines removed from NPM 10.1.2 when ESX Polling is unchecked on an ESX Host

We have recently seen virtual machine guests removed from NPM without notice. As we monitor this on a daily basis via a daily report of removed node events, were able to capture the time and review the IIS logs to determine that this was caused by de-selecting or unchecking "ESX Polling" on a VMWare ESX Host. Is this expected behavior? If so, it seems like there should be some sort of warning that this is going to occur.

I will continue digging into this, but I'm curious to find out if this has happened to others and/or if everyone but me knows that this is what is "supposed to happen".

This is a known bug which should be fixed in an upcoming service release due out soon. Feel free to open a bug so you can get that version early if you want.

The Guest's node entry is removed from orion!

OUCH! I hope thats not expected! I don't want to try it... maybe I'll build a new box and try it, but I don't know when I'd find the time. Can anybody else test this?

Same thing happened to me. If you disable polling, it removes the vm nodes from NPM completely.
