Performance Counter Monitor Help

I have a need to create a new component monitor and I'm a bit stuck. What I'm trying to do is create a Performance Counter Monitor for Category = Netlogon, Counter = Average Semaphore Hold Time. I'm stuck with what to enter for the Instance = field. I tried the server host name in the format of \\serverName.mydomain.com but that returns "HResult: No Data to Return" If I set Instance - _Total I get a value but I don't want total I want the average. Does anyone have a clue on how to configure this correctly.

You should be using the Component Monitor Wizard to create these components. This can be found when adding a new component drop down and clicking 'Browse for Component Monitors'.

When I do that is seems to target a single DC. Will that still allow me to monitor multiple DCs with a single application monitor or will I need to create a unique template for each DC. I ask because on some DCs the monitor is working but on others I get no data available. It seems to be AD Site aware, where the DC I browse to to select the performance monitor will only work with DCs in the same site.

Provided the Performance Counter exists on both machines, then yes. You can't however monitor, say an Exchange Performance Counter on a MSSQL server though.
