Huawei U1930 device is designed for voice over ip. This device isn't support snmp, and how we configure npm to monitor this device?Does NPM can monitor device that isn't support snmp?
NPM can monitor via ICMP, SNMP or WMI. In the case of the U1930 you can add it using ICMP but won't get any SNMP info like, memory, utilization, interfaces, etc. But you can monitor to make sure the node is reachable.
Hope this helps.
Zak
Like mentions above you can monitor via those methods (ICMP, SNMP, and WMI). The down fall to the device you what to monitor is that you can only tell whether it is up or down with the ICMP Reply and you cannot manage it as you would be able to with SNMP.
Thank you for your help, and I'll send this message to my boss.
Thank you!
Thanks for your help!
